this series is a big interest of mine and has been since i was 9! my first ever game was wild world, it was my sisters copy and i quickly became obsessed with the franchise.
i love every aspect about this game, most notably the comfort it brings. i love learning new things about all the games and rambling on about fun facts. in this shrine you can find all sorts of information regarding animal crossing!
the intial idea of animal crossing revolved around adventures in a dungeon! despite the seemingly large difference in concepts from then and now, there are actually a ton of intertwining similarities. both share and value friendship, family, and communication.
eguchi moved to kyoto to work in nintendo in 1986 which fueled his inspiration for the game. he had to move to an unfamiliar place without his family and it made him realize the importance of these bonds. the game would allow him to be apart of his childrens lives more, seeing the little things theyd change to the town. animal crossing was a recreation of the unfamiliarity of travelling he felt.
